Introduction 

Forest Row is an incredibly creative community!  This is in part due to its unique diversity.  People from all over the world are drawn here by Emerson College and Michael Hall.  Others are drawn from all over, particularly creative people from London and the south east, looking for a different sort of creative community.  Here in Forest Row we have a huge range of writers and poets, painters and potters, dramatists and dancers, story tellers and film makers.  This area of the website is dedicated to promoting our creative talents, supporting each other and creating opportunities.

The Arts & Sustainable Communities 

The arts and creativity are central to human development and essential elements in building sustainable communities. The arts and cultural expression serve multiple functions in educational as well as social and political settings by giving perspective to the nature of human experience. They help people to form and challenge values and to develop an awareness of their environment. Ultimately the arts is the expression of our spirit in conversation with each other and the world.  So lets get talking to each other!
