A group of local women
take to the streets in aid of charity
Four local Forest Row
women will be joining several thousand of women in the London’s Hyde Park
on Sunday the 7th of September 2008 for the annual fundraising event;
5 Km race/run in Hyde Park.
Stine Degmeier-Nielsen is
busy training for the event; she has chosen to support a charity close to her
heart The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
(JDRF). At Christmas last year her goddaughter age 6 was
diagnosed with Type 1 juvenile Diabetes – an autoimmune condition which
destroys insulin production cells in the pancreas, resulting in multiple daily
insulin injections just to stay alive, and living with the constant threat of
devastating complications. JDRF was funded to advance research in the quest to
finding a cure. Help sponsor Stine in her race to raise money for JDRF to help
finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
