  • annemarie1 : I'm looking for pictures of the old Forest Row Station to display inside.
  • annemarie1 : II'll be opening a small coffee shop / sandwich bar in the old Coal Marchantt's office, Station Road, Forest Row.

  • NigelS : Thanks to the "Arabian Nights" team. I always reckon that our village panto is funnier and more closely in the tradition of panto than many professional productions!
  • webmaster : "Does anyone there remember the old Crocodile pub? It was run in the 60's by my friends Helen and Wally Hyatt. Any info gratefully received especially photos. Thanks". Posted on behalf of Don Prescott, «email»

'What's On in Forest Row!' Poster Print E-mail
Posted by Paul Breslaw

What's On in Forest Row!In the past few weeks forestrow.org and I have started a collaboration to make the forestrow.org events calendar available in printed form to those who do not like using computers.

The poster is also available on-line here and also accessible from the top menu under 'What's on!':
What's On in Forest Row! What's On in Forest Row!.

Each week - normally on a Friday - I select all the events for the coming week and generate a poster summarizing them. Then I get a few hundred copies printed, and distribute them to local shops, farms, churches and community centres, for people to pick up as they pass. A few copies get posted to the various public notice boards.

We hope that in time, this will become a reliable (and even essential) guide to what's on in and around Forest Row, that people can pin to the kitchen wall - or like me put on the fridge door - so that I don't forget that concert, film, or lecture that I promised myself I'd go to.

For this project to work, two things are needed in addition to reliably producing and distributing the poster. Firstly, we need you to advertise your events on forestrow.org. Remember it's free. So if you are already paying to advertise your event by some other means, you can increase the number of people you reach - and give them a free copy of the advert - at no extra cost to yourself.

Secondly, I would like to find organisations and individuals who are prepared to sponsor the printing costs of the weekly poster, as a service to the community. Even event organisers might think about contributing if they find that they are attracting a larger number of people as a result of free advertising.

If you would like to contact me about this, I would be happy to hear from you.
I can be reached on 01342 822859 or at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Thank you

Paul Breslaw.
