A22 1/2 (mile?) SOUTH OF FOREST ROW VILLIAGE Print E-mail
Posted by SHIRLEY CREASEY

I am trying to find out as much information as I can about the condition of the road mentioned above.

Last Saturday/Sunday night 9th/10th February there was a very hard frost and the road condition was appauling.

My daughter came off the road at 7am, luckily she only suffered minor injuries but her car is a probable 'right off'.

We've established that because of a broken/blocked drain a stream of water continuously pours across the road and the area has been very wet and dangerous for a period of time.

If anyone has any comments or information I would be very grateful to hear from you.

Hi Shirley

I remember hearing about drainage issues on the A22 at a Forest Row Parish Council meeting last year. From what I can remember this falls under East Sussex County Councils domain.

Best thing to do is to contact Forest Row Parish Council on 01342 822661 to clarify. Hope this helps!
