Good News
Neighbourhood Schools PCSO Gareth Hollister and Crime Prevention Officer Dave Smith presented a £500 cheque to Hellingly Playgroup. The donation, from the Sussex Police Property Act Fund, will be used to assist with the cost of developing an all weather outdoor play area for use of pre-school children and Brownie groups. The cheque was presented to Jo Hudson (Friends of Hellingly Playgroup) who put in the application for the donation. Also present was Tracey Harper (Owner of Hellingly Playgroup) and some of the children who will be able to take advantage of the development.

Burglary - Hartfield
Sometime between 2pm on Friday 16th November and 2am on Sunday 18th November a house in Upper Hartfield, Hartfield, was broken into. The persons responsible used force to gain entry to the semi detached premises, searched all the rooms stealing jewellery, cash, furniture and alcohol, then took the owners motor vehicle a Volvo.

If anyone saw any vehicles or people acting  suspicious, please contact DC Andrew Smith at Uckfield Police Station on 0845 60 70 999 quoting ser 795 of the 18th November 2007 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I have been advised by front office staff at Hailsham Police Station that there are no more ant theft screws for number plates available.
