Good News
Police Property Act Fund
PCSO Mick Morter is presented a cheque for £650 to Sharon Holman, who is a Supervisor at Union Corner Pre-School in Hailsham.
The money, from the Sussex Police
Property Act Fund, will be used to purchase IT equipment for use at the
pre-school. The Police Property Act Fund is made up from the sale of
property for which no owner or loser can be located. The fund is then
used to assist community groups."
PCSO Morter said " I am particularly
pleased to present this cheque to the pre-school, as not only will it
help with the purchase of computer equipment, but this is also their
25th anniversary."

Another Scam
The old faithful cheque overpayment
scam is doing the rounds. Especially if you work in the hotelier trade
be aware. In essence a group of people book a long stay and offer to
pay by cheque. However they suggest paying far in excess of the actual
fee, for example the fee is £750 and they offer to pay £2500 and ask
that once the cheque has cleared you then send them the outstanding
balance. Sound fishy? It is. It’s a scam. For more information
regarding scams such as these, as there are variants click on the link
below.
