Calling all Classical Musicians! Print E-mail
Posted by Hannah Kester

Chequer Mead Theatre wants to hear from local classical musicians and groups who want to take part in a pilot lunchtime classical concert series.

Chequer Mead Community Arts Centre in East Grinstead is planning to arrange a lunchtime concert classical series for 2008 and is interested in hearing from local semi/professional musicians and groups who would be interested in taking part. This is a pilot for a project that is intended to be a platform for local talent and depending on its success would be carried on in future years and become a regular feature in the town theatre's diary.

As a new project, Chequer Mead is inviting applications of interest from groups/individuals to submit a concert proposal if they would be interested in taking part. We would like to present a range of classical musical styles and welcome applications from groups representing classical music, traditional jazz, choir groups and soloists.

Five concerts will be chosen from applications received with the first concert in the series taking place in June 2008. If you are interested in taking part or would like to find out more, please contact Hannah Kester at Chequer Mead on 01342 325577 or alternatively email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
