Danehill – Burglary
Sometime between 3:00pm on Sunday 23rd September and 3:00pm on Wednesday
26th September a burglary occurred to
an outbuilding in Mill Lane, Furners Green, Danehill. The persons
responsible stole a Honda quad bike, a red Westwood ride on lawnmower,
a Massey Ferguson Compact Tractor and a Sovereign sit on tractor. The
vehicles were in an open barn but were all chained up and padlocked.
The total value of the items stolen is thought to approximately £18000.
Police are appealing for witnesses and
ask anyone with any information to contact PC Richard Cooke at Uckfield
Police Station on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 946 of the 26th
September 2007. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted
anonymously on 0800 555111.

Calling on everyone in East Sussex to tackle bullying – from East County Council
Schools, colleges and youth centres
across East Sussex are being urged by the County Council to take part
in Anti-Bullying Week next month.
As part of its own ongoing work
supporting schools and colleges in tackling bullying, the Council’s
team will also be launching one of the largest ever anti-bullying
surveys with children and young people.
The team will also be running a
county-wide poster competition which will be launched just before
anti-bullying week and which will focus on e-safety and cyber-bullying.
