A DROP-IN FOR PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES ARE TOUCH BY
DRUG OR ALCOHOL DEPENDENCY

  • Do you know someone whose drinking is out of control?
  • Are you aware of a friend or family member who is drug dependant? Are you someone who finds it hard to control drugs or alcohol use yourself?
  • Do you live with the effects of alcohol or drug abuse?
  • Do you have a drug or drink related problem and feel very alone?

step-in.jpgWe are familiar with these questions and all the problems they raise for users and their families. So we are starting a drop-in to help and support others like us who are caught up with these problems.

The drop-in is called STEP-IN, and we want to encourage anyone who wants simply to `step-in' for help and support. We also hope that this will provide encouragement to make this a step-ing stone to future health and growth, stepping into personal freedom.

This is not a religious group but has come out of our own experience of the problems of drugs and alcohol facing people and their families and friends. We have come to appreciate the value of people who
listen and support and have the knowledge of some of the resources that are available to help.

STEP-IN will be on Wednesday mornings from 11.00am-12.30pm and on Wednesday evenings from 7.30-8.30pm in Holy Trinity Church Hall in the centre of Forest Row, starting on the 27 June. There will be opportunities to meet each other and chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Resources will be available and each session will focus on a relevant topic. This is a free service but donations will be gratefully received. Confidentiality will be respected.

If you would like more information please contact Jay on 07897590005

If you would like to join us please come along, preferably alcohol and drug free, to the Hall on Wednesdays - beginning Wednesday 27 June. We reserve the right to refuse entry!

We are grateful for the support and encouragement of Caroline Schofield BACP, and Rev. Nick Lamb, vicar of Holy Trinity.
