Despite the fact that they pay taxes and live with the outcomes of however those taxes are spent, many people don't seem to be particularly interested in Government or politics at whatever level.  Though I can understand this it saddens me as people in many countries have died for the right to speak freely and we in Britain live in one of the better democracies in the world... and we should be keen to keep it this way....and improve it.....
