Plans are progressing well!

The marquee, to be erected on the Sports Ground from 16th June to 20th June, is on order, funds are available and the road closure orders are proceeding.

By the time you read this article all groups, organisations, businesses and schools should have received a letter inviting them to join in the week’s festivities. If you have not received such a letter please accept the organising committee’s apologies for slipping under their radar and contact either Jeanne Dykes on (01342822058) or Ken Farrar (01342823252) and they will ensure that an invitation to participate in any way is sent to you.

Art exhibition surpasses ...

New group Artworks is enabling Ashdown Forest artists to showcase their work and reach out further than ever before, reports local writer Neil del Strother

Sometimes, wonderful things happen on your doorstep. Last weekend’s Artworks exhibition in Forest Row, for example, was a rich feast of originality, colour and talent. Thirty-five fine artists from the Ashdown Forest area – many well established and successful professionals – came together for the first time to show their work in a beautifully lit exhibition space at Michael Hall School.
