Exhibition open on both days from 11.00 am - 4.00pm
• Paintings and sculptures in the Mansion
• Coffee, lunch and tea (and the weekend’s newspapers!) in the Arts Cafe from 11am
• Walk the sculpture trail at any time and then on to the cafe for hot chocolate and cake!

Michael Hall welcomes you to its first Art & Sculpture Exhibition, set in the gracious rooms of the Mansion and its stunning grounds. The weekend has been especially designed to take you on a journey where art, music and nature are uniquely interwoven to offer adults and children alike, the opportunity to explore our relationship to life and nature, and to honour the autumnal mood that lingers in the light of our deepening days.

In and around the Mansion, well-known and established artists and sculptors display a tempting symphony of colour and style. Their work reflects nature’s subtle symbolism at play in our world, with an emphasis on the interconnectedness and sacredness of all things. This weekend also provides the perfect, gentle way to introduce children to art and sculpture with plenty of wonders to hold their interest: the teachers and children at Michael Hall have been busy working to create a Sculpture Trail inspired by the works of Andy Goldsworthy and Richard Long. Out of material found around the Michael Hall Estate, the children have hewn and shaped beautiful environmental pieces that are a worthy tribute to these two internationally-renowned sculptors.

And of course, there is always the food! From warming dishes using locally-sourced produce (a large part of it coming from the Michael Hall Biodynamic Vegetable Garden), to mouthwatering cakes and hot chocolate! All at Michael Hall are dedicated to this event as a means of heightening our awareness of the beauty around us, the synchronicity - and the joy that comes from creativity. An inspiring weekend for ourselves and our children.

A weekend not to be missed!
